Murata Electronics releases 6-DOF XYZ-axis Gyroscope and XYZ-axis Accelerometer with digital SPI interface
January 27, 2021
The SCHA600 IMU is a single package 6DoF component that can be integrated with GNSS and other perception sensors for L2+ and higher levels of autonomy.
The SCHA600 IMU enables centimeter-level accuracy with regard to vehicle dynamics and position, enabling safe, robust and verified AD. Extensive attention has been given to guarantee operation during high mechanical shock and vibration. The SCHA600 IMU is qualified according to the AEC-Q100 standard, includes several advanced self-diagnostic features and is fully ASIL-D (Automotive Safety Integrity Level) compliant. These sensors enable new ADAS functionality through data fusion with GNSS and various perception sensors such as camera, radar and lidar. Delivering the best performance available for automotive applications in regard to bias stability and noise. The orthogonality of the measurement axes is calibrated at Murata, allowing system integrators to skip this costly and performance-critical process step.
Typical applications include:
- Advanced Driver Assistant System (ADAS)
- Automated Driving (AD)
- Inertial Navigation for Dead Reckoning
- Lane Keeping Assistance (LKA)
- Motion and Position Measurements
- Platform Stabilization
