Murata Electronics releases product series DLW21 Common Mode Choke Coil for in‑vehicle SerDes / PoC interface.
June 22, 2021
Murata Electronics has released the latest automotive rated common mode choke coils, DLW21SH391XQ2 and DLW21PH201XQ2 are used to suppress noise for high-speed interfaces that use Serializer/Deserializer (Ser/Des) on Power Over Coax (PoC).
In recent years, various sensors (vehicle-mounted cameras, LiDAR, radar, etc.) are equipped to autonomous self-driving vehicles and SerDes is often used on image data transmission interfaces, this has led to the application of PoC which performs data and power transmission on single coaxial cables resulting in the reduction benefit of in-vehicle cables needed. This can bring about larger current flows, compared to conventional differential interfaces (several tens of mA currents), Murata Electronics has developed the DLW21 product series which are capable of withstanding large currents, 300 mA and 500 mA.
Most sensor suites are designed to be compact, and it can be difficult to increase GND patterns on PCB, and noise issues may occur. Murata Electronics product series DLW21 comes in a compact size (2.0 × 1.2 mm/0805 inch). The use of DLW21 inserted between the data transmission line and your GND line, results in noise suppression effects that are delivered even with their very small footprint.
Features:
- Small size 2.0x1.2x1.2mm
- High rated current available – 300mA ~ 500mA
- Available for high density mounting (Narrow pitch)
- Uses capacitors in a very thin 1 mm-high solution
- Powertrain/Safety rated component AEC-Q200
